using valid reasoning and relevant and sufficient evidence.
a. Introduce precise, knowledgeable claim(s), establish the significance of
the claim(s), distinguish the claim(s) from alternate or opposing claims,
and create an organization that logically sequences claim(s), counter-
claims, reasons, and evidence.
b. Develop claim(s) and counterclaims fairly and thoroughly, supplying the
most relevant evidence for each while pointing out the strengths and
limitations of both in a manner that anticipates the audience’s knowledge
level, concerns, values, and possible biases.
f. Use specific rhetorical devices to support assertions (e.g., appeal to logic
through reasoning; appeal to emotion or ethical belief; relate a personal

Modest Proposal
There has been seventy four shootings in the United States since the year 2012. Seventy four shootings where innocent children, teenagers, and teachers have lost their lives, not counting the previous years. It is a tragedy knowing that these innocent people could not protect themselves from the assault of weapons. Parents heartbroken knowing they could not do anything to protect their children. It is bearing to see your child in a situation where you think they are in a safe environment, but in reality you just never know. It is a scary feeling sending your child off to school wondering if you will see them again after seeing and listening to the tragedies of shootings all over the world.
I propose a resolution to help all innocent children from the insanity of killers lurking among students portraying as normal individuals. I propose a change in the future of many lives who could be saved from the unspeakable actions of mindless people. I propose that a gun safety class should be added to the curriculum of public schools. Yes, im saying all public schools should require students K-12 to carry a gun in school. Requiring the use of guns in schools will decrease the violence of school shootings, and innocent students will have the opportunity to protect themselves from the threat of others. Of course, students will be taught properly by professionals on how to handle a gun.
All students K-12 will use different weapons, elementary kids will require to handle single shot pistols, this will allow them to shoot without having to constantly reload the gun after every shot. Middle school students will be allowed to more gun options such as pistols, rifles, and handguns. High school students of course will have any gun option, and apart from that they will definitely have to require the use of military weapons. High school students will have the privilege to handle such powerful weapons due to the more higher risk of shootings. According to statistics out of thirty two United States school shootings from 2000 to 2012, twenty three took place at high schools, three took place in elementary schools, and five in middle schools. It is reasonable to have these kinds of weapons available and at use in high schools. All guns will be property to the schools, and there will be serious consequences to those who misuse the weapons.
The idea of incorporating guns into public school systems can benefit the students and parents in various ways. Students will have the chance to defend themselves against the threat they are presented to. Parents will not have to been concerned about their children's protection. Learning to manage a gun is a skill everyone should know, who knows, it can even save you from a real life situation. Learning to manage a gun can help your future, like open new job opportunities, such as an increase in government jobs.
To prevent all this violence of school shootings, schools should enforce more maximum security for the safety of students. They should strengthen gun laws and prevent guns from falling into the hands of young adults. More shooting drills should be taught and enforced. Making the right changes and decisions can help and save a lot of people from disastrous situations.
